About the Omega WingThe Omega Wing is an independent group of Star Wars fans focused on the TIE Fighter Pilots' costume. The Omega Wing's mission is to collect and provide the best resources for fans to assemble their own TIE pilot costumes and to interact with other TIE pilot enthusiasts. Although some members of Omega Wing are also members of the 501st Legion, membership in the 501st is NOT a requirement to join the Omega Wing. Omega Wing is wholly independent of the 501st and is not an affiliate or subgroup of the 501st.The Omega Wing is not a cosplay/role-playing group. The primary focus of Omega Wing is to research, improve, and share knowledge of the TIE pilot costume with other like-minded fans. True, the Wing is split into squadrons, and each squadron has a leader. The Wing has its officer corps. These positions are, however, purely administrative and are not meant to represent a rigid, militaristic hierarchy.
Costuming is, after all, a hobby!
